Subscription Forms

Recently, I was asked about adding a MailChimp subscription form to a page. Although MailChimp is an excellent tool, some of the options are quite limited unless you pay for a premium account. This example page will demonstrate that I can use an API to connect a custom built form to MailChimp instead of using their own forms. The page itself can be customized to display whatever graphics and text is needed, but embedded MailChimp forms may not display exactly as you want… The below examples show the difference between MailChimp embedded forms and custom form using API.

A custom built, self hosted form which will send submitted data to direct to MailChimp via integrated API.
Fully customizable with no branding. Works best with WordPress. Works with a free MailChimp account

A custom built, self hosted form which will send submitted data to Google Sheets, via Zapier Webhooks.
A Professional Level accout with Zapier is needed for this.
Fully customizable. Works best with WordPress. Works with a free MailChimp account

This is an example of a very simple MailChimp embedded form, colecting users email only. This version keep the user on the same page after sumbitting. The form is created and hosted by MailChimp and has limited design options. May not display as well on mobile devices. MailChimp branding is displayed unless you have a paid account with MailChimp. This form will not send any emails, either to Admin or the user. Works with any website CMS.
